Neil is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Logscape. He has 19 years of experience in high-performance, distributed, grid, and cloud-based computing in the enterprise. He is a full-stack-developer and loves technology. Prior to founding Logscape, Neil was a Senior Architect at Royal Bank of Scotland where he developed strategy and led implementation for a high-performance grid-based front-to-back global commodities trading system. Neil also designed and implemented a large scale Oracle Coherence Data Grid solution for RBS Sempra Commodities. Before that, he was responsible for developing the technical direction for Compute and Data Grid usage at RBS. Prior to his work at Royal Bank of Scotland, Neil was the Global Grid Product Manager at Deutsche Bank, where he provided technical direction and strategy for building a global enterprise grid and orchestration solution.
Neil has previously been a Senior Architect at ThoughtWorks, Spiritsoft and IONA Technologies, where he developed and patented a shared memory transport protocol. He has a Bachelor of Science degree with First Class Honors in Computer Science from Curtin University of Technology. When he’s not working or spending time with his wife and two adorable kids, he’s doing a little cycling, snowboarding and songwriting.
